IDAN HAYOSH (IL/RO)

(b. 1979, Tel Aviv, Israel) Lives and works in Amsterdam. Hayosh´s process is a direct reaction to found imagery. He mainly works with aggressive images that represent danger in their symbolism, mainly taken from a military context. The material is transformed into installations where objects are carefully constructed and repeated, and sound is added to amplify the emotional force of the constructions. Hayosh is currently a resident at Rijksakademie in Amsterdam and has exhibited extensively at several museums and institutions in Europe.
